I am currently working on my graduate work in biology, on top of my high school teaching responsibilities! I intend to have future post shortly after May 10th. The topic will be likely be on leadership, as I am going to Washington D.C. as an advocate for the American College of Physicians. My role will to talk with leaders in congress about some key health care issues facing the nation. Stay tuned!!!
The challenges to my medical school acceptance were enormous. Many stemmed from my mistakes made at my university years ago. Even still, I thought out a plan and intentionally made it a point to follow-through. It wasn't easy and it took courage. I also did not do it alone, but with the support of my loving wife and family. Every secondary application given and invitation to an interview was proof that I was not damaged goods. If given the opportunity, I could show my worth and potential for becoming a passionate and caring doctor. The following is a seven minute video about who I am and some details of those obstacles I mentioned above. |
